Fees and Insurance
As a courtesy to you, we will accept assignment of benefits as full or partial payment of our fees, but please remember:
  1. Your insurance is a contract between you, your employer, and the insurance company. We are not a party to that contract. We work 100% for you.

  2. Our fees are generally considered to all within the acceptable range by most companies and therefore are covered up to the maximum allowance determined by each carrier. This applies only to companies who pay a percentage (such as 50% or 80%) of "U.C.R." U.C.R. is defined as usual, customary, and reasonable fees for this region, thus our fees are considered usual, customary, and reasonable by most companies. This statement does not apply to companies who reimburse based on an arbitrary "schedule" of fees, which bears no relationship to the current standard and cost of care in this area.

  3. Not all services are a covered benefit in all contracts. Some insurance companies arbitrarily select certain services they will not cover.

  4. Our computer estimates expected reimbursement based on its database of previous experiences with insurance companies. Carriers never inform us on their policy changes, although they inform you with their "Explanation of Benefits" booklet. Most often, our estimations are quite accurate, but sometimes they are not. Therefore we can only offer you estimation based on the best of the knowledge available to us at the time.

Please note that Dental Insurance was originally created to cover catastrophic accidents and not as a vehicle to good oral health. No one has ever achieved outstanding dental health because they have Dental Insurance. Twenty years ago, when most policies came out, the annual maximums were $1,000.00! When adjusted for inflation, limits should be more like $3,700.00 Please do not expect your insurance to cover everything!

We must emphasize that as dental health care providers, our relationship is with you, not your insurance company. While the filing of insurance claims is a courtesy that we extend to our patients, all charges are your responsibility from the date the services are rendered. If you have any questions about the above information or are uncertain regarding insurance information, please don't hesitate to ask us. We are here to help you.
